However, during a recent visit with a guest from out of town, our clams were overcooked and I had to ask twice for them. The waitress seemed to struggle to understand our order and had to clarify it multiple times before getting it right. She was polite, but there was some confusion. The restaurant did not offer to replace the overcooked clams.
My last visit in the fall of 2021 for all-you-can-eat crabs was very enjoyable. However, my visit in May 2022 for dinner was a disappointment. I ordered the crabcake and ribs combo. The crabcake looked and tasted like it was made with cheap imitation meat. It was below average in quality. The ribs were also disappointing - not smoked, dry, and flavorless. They were the worst ribs I have ever had. The restaurant should be ashamed of serving such poor quality food. In addition to the bad food, the place was dirty. We will not be returning.
When I moved across the street a few years ago, everyone told me I had to try the Red **** for the best crabs. Last week, I finally made my way to this charming restaurant. It's the perfect spot for an authentic Chesapeake Bay dining experience with its classic street house decor and vibe. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The fried chicken was a pleasant surprise and probably the best I've had on the eastern shore. You must try the fried chicken! The crabs were also delicious. However, the crab cake was the worst I've ever had. It was a big disappointment, as was the Maryland crab soup which lacked flavor and crab meat. The fried shrimp and mussels were decent, but likely frozen before being fried. Despite these letdowns, I would consider returning for the crabs and chicken alone, as the location is beautiful. Just be sure to steer clear of anything else on the menu.
Tonight for the first time, my whole life was here and always heard how great. I've never been so disappointed. my father crawled rust and tasted like old fish, the season looks like she was thrown up after the damp. two of my crumbs were not good, clear was dead, and the sprouts were one because before the vapor, one was empty the other was fleshy, but tasty. huh was well cooked, fried garnels under cooked. I'll say the muted garnels were big and fantastic. bad quality for everything else. I stay in the old mill for the future, never had a bad **** there!
Once we got over the fear of being so far back in the woods, the food was off the chain! That’s means super excellent for those who may not understand! I especially loved the clam corn chowder! I gotta find out how I can get some shipped to me back in Atlanta! Yes, it was that good! I’d pay to have some FedEx’d to me!
