Scribners Kitchen Bath Designs

Referred by a friend whom hired them to remodel their kitchen and bath, I reached out to Scribners Kitchen and Bath Design in April 2022, after experiencing extreme difficulties and poor workmanship with another local contractor. Jim, Cindy, Tom, Joshua, Scott and the entire crew at Scribners Kitchen and Bath Designs were absolutely spectacular from start to finish. They heard as well as saw my concerns (about the poor install/workmanship from the another contractor , I was properly advised and they offered to do the work necessary in order for the bathtub/shower unit renovation to be beautiful, functional and pass code. How to doubt, Scribners kitchen and bath design is an ethical, top notch business that is very professional. They do things “the right way “ ie by the law (assessments, contracts, permits, inspections, guarantee/warranty, etc. their workmanship and skill is above and beyond! Communication (verbal as well as written is excellent in every which way. They make and take the time to hear what your needs are, schedule for an in home assessment if needed, return for follow up evaluation/assessment as needed prior to the start of work as well as reassess during the job and at the end of the job. Their work was also inspected and approved by my town on at least couple occasions for integrity. In addition to the above – they will work within your budget without any judgment and there is absolutely no pressure whatsoever to upgrade. From start to finish they were punctual, courteous and respectful while working at my home. They are polite and very well mannered, prepared for the work that they are there to do, clean up as they go as well as at the end of their day. If for some reason the project takes longer than expected or they run into challenges, they will communicate clearly with you. Everything is transparent, no cutting corners or mystery whatsoever. As a customer, I felt included in every aspect, felt respected and was well advised throughout the process. Wonderful communication, trustworthy (when we had to leave to go to work yet our pets were home , beautiful options to select from with reasonable prices, highly professional, ethical and with integrity. After going through a nightmarish situation with the previous contractor, Scribners Kitchen and Bath Designs was like a knight in shining armor as they professionally and ethically showed up to remove the other contractors messy work and renovated my bathroom properly. It fit my budget, met my expectations and is absolutely beautiful. We are very grateful to have had them do the work. Hire them!!! ?

I had 2 bathrooms renovated by Jim and his staff and I have always been completely satisfied with his work. When I was not happy with something while the jobs were being done he would come right to the house and have his employee make it right. Even after being done for 10 years if any little thing needs looking at (which only once has happened) he will get it fixed. I definitely recommend Scribners. In fact I am having him do work in my kitchen next week and my kitchen was renovated in 1999 by another company. My review says I am from California. I am from Waterford, CT

This place should change its name. They are trading on the good name of Guy Scribner, a businessman of integrity who no longer appears to have any ties to this business. The present manager did some extensive work for us some years back, and we have been reaping the whirlwind ever since. Notable is a kitchen floor they installed. It is full of overcuts, undercuts, slits, etc. We have never seen a worse job. But the final straw is that one leg of our huge fridge is over a mistake cut made by the installer, and one side of the fridge is sinking into the floor. This has already cost us three service calls. The most recent one told us that the fridge is being damaged, and the floor needs replacing very soon. Our advice is to avoid this business.

Scribners installed a tile shower in our master bathroom. They did a magnificent job. Jim and Emily were very helpful in a detailed planning process and the final design was just what we wanted. Overall, their craftsmen were excellent, and Jim was on top of the whole process. Only the plumbing fixtures needed some tweaking. Their tile guy is an artistic genius, especially with the difficult tile that we picked out. At the end of each day they left the place clean and neat. We are very pleased with the shower and it adds a lot to the home.
