It's been 2 years since I left Matat and I still think about the cheese burgers and shwarmas these beautiful people used to make for me. I spent entire afternoons in their restaurant and those were some of the best days of my life. Pure hearts, good intentions, wholesome food. You won't go wrong.

Arguably the best Shwarma I've ever tasted. Right propotions of meat and the best cheese sauce. The shwarma wrap itself is delicately crisp, it houses all the meat ingredients so,so well. The owner just showed me how to properly eat one lol so he's very friendly and observant. A definite go-to when in Matatiele. Edit: not forgetting how terribly filling it is. Great value for money!
