Bistro 80 - Pyrmont

Lots of options including seafood, salads, roasts, asian and deserts. Service friendly and helpful. Was a little noisy as lots of families. Make sure you ask for a "Complimentary Parking Voucher" if you are parked in the Astral Tower car park.

**** breakfast.They are in a temporary location, but surely a 5 star hotel can employ a competant food and beverage manager. I've had buffets in tent's that have been better orgnaized. So dont bother with the excuses about the refurb going on.

Apparently the Garden Buffet was closed (?refurbishment) so breakfast was in the Bistro. A large selection of patries, breads, including gluten free bread. However, the toasters were common use so Coeliacs should be aware and ask for their toast to be prepared separately. The chef was only too happy to do so and cooked me fried eggs as well. The buffet also had a range of hot meals including stir-fries etc. There is a separate section for yogurts with delicious looking toppings, plus muffins, cakes, slices etc. You can also have waffles & pancakes (not gluten free). Decent pod coffee machine.

It is a nice and quiet escape from the noise and bustle of the floors below. The food is quite good and you don't feel rushed.

We went for dinner and I must say how great the food was and service. The price was not expensive and would come back again!We had oysters and the scallops for entrees. For mains we shared the shoulder lamb for 2 with greens for the side. Dessert we tried the chocolate brûlée and chocolate mouse. It is a treat coming here and the service from the wait staff is really good too.This restaurant is located at the Star.. Quite spot from mayhem in the gaming area!I grabbed a great 25% off our bill because of the Entertainment Gold membership!
