We thoroughly enjoyed the outstanding dinner, do not miss. Michel was extraordinary in all aspects of food preparation. Notable modern touches to classic french cuisine. also great staff
A gastronomic experience in an authentic building with special design touch. A starred chef who proves his salt with traditional dishes. Nice wines. A touch of decadence in the the interior. Worth the trip. Best pigeon I ever had.
An incredible food experience, we enjoyed every element of the tasting menu, dining in the courtyard, I couldn't think of a nicer place to spend an afternoon.
Service was terrible. We sat for almost mins before we were offered menus although the ordered champagne had turned up fairly quickly`. A second free glass of champagne and an apology resulted. Had to ask twice for covers and serviette and reminded about water....Absence of waiters generally in the restaurant and clearly no maître d' managing the place so waiters nice as they were were simply not being managed. At the end, had to go and find a waiter to check for bill payment. And it was not because I'm a Brit. I live in France and speak very fluent French. Ambiance in the courtyard was very pleasant; wonderful in the hot weather. However, people smoking was a real put off...... So, the food. few freebie nibbles were OK... We both had the speciality starter the potato wrapped in chard with a truffle sauce. The sauce was delicious but the potato lacked seasoning and could have done with more slices of truffle in the potato. Was it worth each? Main courses were OK but not that special I'd eaten better ris de veau at a Parisian restaurant the week before fewer stars and half the price. No cheese!! (Is this restaurant French Desserts OK.... Extensive wine bible we had a Madiran at which can be bought online for A decent recommendation but a significant mark-up for France. Overall the restaurant gave the impression of not being well-managed and perhaps stressed financially?? Corners being cut is not good in a restaurant of this calibre.
