Pho Tai Vietnamese - Puyallup

I wanted to like this place because it's close to the house but we tried 3x!! Everytime they messed up our order!! I told them I'm allergic to onions and each time we got home onions. The receipt on the bag said no onions. So we couldn't eat it. The girl that works there just gave dirty looks and was not friendly about there mistake!! Definitely will drive further for better service.

The pho was delicious. Asked for extra hoisin sauce for which I was charged $4 extra for 4 bowls of pho, which I thought was excessive, at $1 each for a tiny container of sauce. The place was very busy so service was slow.

Very poor service and no they didn't appear to be short staffed. We sat down. Someone came over with menus and waters. Asked if we were ready to order. Said no. They said they would be back in a couple of minutes. Waitress disappeared and never came back. Waiter came and took our order ten or more minutes later. Fifteen minutes later no drinks or appetizer until appetizer and food comes out together. Asks if he can bring us anything else and I answer yes, our drinks. Pho was lacking in flavor. Won't be back.

Absolutely disappointed. We seated ourselves. There seemed to be 3 different wait staff working. The table we sat at had old glasses of water on it. After a while, we thought this place might be one of those spots that you order at the cash register and they bring it to your table, but when we tried, we were told someone would come to our table. We wait some time longer, and one of the waiters finally comes out and takes the order from a family who came in AFTER us by like 10 minutes. We did not want to give this place our money at that point and left.

The staff are attentive and friendly, and the restaurant is clean. I rated the food 4 stars because the pho broth is quite light in color and doesn't have the rich flavor of beef broth; it primarily tastes of salt with hints of something else, but mostly just salt. After finishing the broth, I was left with an overwhelming salty taste in my mouth for quite a while. Aside from the broth, everything else was very good.
