Vanilla Beach Cafe - Punta Engano

Loved the ambiance of this restaurant classy modern and would definitely give you good vibes. Reason as to why I only rated it 3 stars is because the food selection wasn’t really worth its price. They do have diff themes per day and we went here on a Sunday (east meets west). Regular rate is around 1600 PHP per pax and we got discounts thru eatigo and only paid around 825 PHP (one round of drink included) wasn’t really a fan of the food nothing fancy nothing mouth watering food was just okay. Selections were limited. Pizza station, Japanese station (not really fresh), grilling station and dessert station and etc Ambiance of the place really gave us time to just enjoy and take a breather from other buffet restaurants where it’s really packed. Staff were attentive and accommodating but they lack (product knowledge) when working in this industry (hospitality) staff should always be prepared to answer questions about the food and even about the hotel itself. But most of them were clueless (more training perhaps) Will I recommend? I’m not really sure. I might have to try a different themed night to tell.

Until now, I still think they have the best breakfast buffet in Cebu. I love how their bacon was cooked and they have kimchi for breakfast too. Despite being packed in the morning, their service was still good.

Breakfast buffet during the stay their at movenpick cebu at mactan island. buffet had a lot of selection and despite the big number of people the food and dishes were always available.

Dined in here for their semi-lunch buffet and It was fantastic!

I love their Native hot chocolate. I also enjoyed the different kinds of danishes and croissants that they offer. Nice to see that food labels are available for guests. Their Drinks station is also a favorite of mind. Their breakfast options have more Western choices but there are still Asian varities. Make sure to have breakfast as early as possible since the place gets full by 7:30am or 8am especially on weekends.
