Seemed weird this is a roadside restaurant, nothing fancy. When I walked in, the restaurant was empty with only two other patrons. The waiters just stood there and stared at me until I asked if I should seat myself. Upon being seated, they gave me a teenage girl as a waitress. She was sweet, obviously trying to do her best. Up to this point, not terribly impressed. The best part was the food. I ordered their 14oz churrasco steak with rice beans. Steak was good, beans were excellent and good with the rice. Overall, I was happy to eat there and wouldn't be opposed to going back. If they could tighten up on their service, it would be an even more attractive option.
Great food, great service both from the wait staff and the parking security. Not many english speakers, but the menu here has english translations. Walked here from the Hyatt Place nearby, and felt a little unsafe would recommend taking an Uber here instead, but excellent food overall. Got the appetizer sampler and the shrimp mofongo here so good.
My earlier review was incorrect, we ordered the parrilla platter that is charcoal cooked and meats tasted like charcoal... When we approached the staff about how it was cooked because it seems like the charcoal wasn't burnted well enough to cook the meat. The meats we thrown on grill before charcoal could heat and you could taste it. The staff was nice but not concerned about the quality of their meat because it's taste and health hazard. I will not return here and precaution if you order the parrillada. Everything else was alright.. I ordered fish my husband parrillada. The fish was a pure taste of adobo.
Attentive service. I recommend an uber from the Hyatt if you are staying there. We ordered the soup of the day and mofongo. The food was fresh but extremely salty. I wouldn't return to this restaurant. Due to our stay at the Hyatt we tried this place. I would suggest trying the bakery a few feet away for lunch instead.
Love this place! Great Puerto Rican cuisine! They offer a variety of mojito flavors. The prices are great and the portions are good. We were a party of 8 and we all ordered different meals and tried them all. Everything was super!
