The Pho-Rind with noodles was okay, but not very flavorful. The Pho came with beef, sprouts, and basil leaves, but only had a few pieces of cooked beef and rice noodles. The fresh spring rolls were disappointing, with only rice noodles and minimal garnishes. The pho broth seemed minimalistic, with just broth and meat. Unfortunately, I also ended up getting food poisoning after dinner.
The restaurant serves delicious food with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. I enjoyed the beef stew chaolong with their French bread - a perfect combination.
The once popular Vietnamese restaurant in Puerto Princesa is beginning to decline in quality. The flavor of the food has changed for the worse and the portion sizes have decreased, making the prices less reasonable. The service has also become slow. It is disheartening to see the decline in business, especially since the restaurant used to thrive when the old airport was still in operation. The opening of the new airport terminal on the other side of the runway has had a negative impact on businesses in the old airport area.
We have been visiting this restaurant since a long time ago, and despite the pandemic, they have managed to stay open. Their Vietnamese cuisine is known for their delicious pho noodles (beef stew) and fresh spring rolls.
I had lunch at this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back for dinner! I absolutely love the food, it is so delicious!
