Only bad part was a long wait (30min for churros) and I believe management should give it as compensation but no. Only waiter apologized , owner should be more involved...chorizo doesn't really taste of chorizo but the meatballs are amazing. Tacos , quesadilla and croquettes amazing Very nice tinto de verano and sangria
Good food, good location and ambiance. Parking is a bit hard to find sometimes. The stairs was really steep, our seniors in the family have a hard time going up and down the stairs. Nevertheless the food is still delicious.
I never expected I’ll encounter such a gem in Puerto Pricessa. I recommend trying baked mac al txoko and churos. Pasta dishes are must-tries too! If I had more time in the city, I would certainly try most of what’s in the menu. Ambiance is really good Staff are friendly They have al fresco dining and a second floor!
Recovering from flu, I would be able to taste all the flavours and spices to do good justice to my review of them. Ordered Gambas Al Aljillo, Pumpkin Soup and Churros. Gambas Al Aljillo was said to have lots and lots of garlic , which I notice 1 whole clove. Maybe the rest were chopped. Garlic wasn 't pronounced, but maybe my taste buds were as alert. Pumpkin Soup has a distinct hint of curry spice, verified with the staff. Soup was fibrous, seems to suggest, pumpkin was grind/blended before cooking, resulting in the texture. It 's still nice. Churros knocked me off my seat. The waitress actually made it fresh on order. I 've never seen churros made so fresh. She even rejected the 1st lot, as she said, the dough is likely left out too long thus texture compromised. What? She was most willing to redo it, fresh dough, folded and made all over again. They take their churros very seriously. The churros has a nice crisp on the outside, moist and chewy on the inside. The dust of cinnamon sugar added a nice touch. BTW, it isn 't a 4 short churros but a good 6-8 whole churros they served. Last but not least. The mango margaritas has a nice amount of tequila. I requested for reduced sugar, and it went just nice. I can only conclude my visit as, came curious, left impressed!
Super looooove the food! We had calamari for appetiser, and it’s so good! The dip is amazing. Then, we had the Seafood Pasta for me and the Meatball and Chorizo pasta for my husband. I liked that the seafood pasta is a bit spicy (made me want to eat more! Haha). And of course I tried the Meatball and Chorizo pasta of my husband and it just make say “Grabe, masarap!”. We also love the Frozen and classic Sangria. The Frozen Sangria is like slushy… so you drink it as if it has no alcohol. Haha so careful, you might get tipsy easily . We also tried the quesadilla and their Salpicao, and I can’t stop eating. We’re only in Puerto Prinsesa for two days, but I wanna try their other food on the menu. I hope they could also open a branch in Manila!
