Puerto Plata Village

I was here for 3 days in April 2018. The reviews about disrepair are accurate and some of the foods are only average. But... that said the staff was very polite and helpful. Despite despair, the place is impeccable. The buffets are a solid B when you select the right things (Target made-to-order stuff). One of the innkeepers gave me a coconut today after he cut it off a tree. When writing this review, a random older man went to the lobby piano and began playing concert quality. He still destroys it. At $55 per night this place was a UNBELIEVABLE deal and I don't understand the poison in some of these negative reviews. 5/5

I did an inspection last week after visiting the property 29 years ago when I arrived in the country. Last week the property slendid, much it was rebuilt, the charming sales manager invited me to lunch, the food was full of variety and very good. We also went to the beach club in the small railway that the hotel offers for free. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to someone looking for something cheap and cheerful.

I visited this resort a lot and I just love it. The best thing I would say is the environment that has an incredibly positive effect. The food is delicious, the rooms are very nice and comfortable, the beach and the pool are beautiful, as well as the landscape to the beach. Staff and service are great and night presentations are really interesting. I strongly recommend this place to relax on holiday as you feel at home.

An older resort, cheap. Not a five-star over price. But an amazing value, lots of bang for your money!

The resort was a very close walk to the beach which also had food and drinks. The beach had a lot of debris, which seemed to be common for the coast at all of the resorts nearby. The rooms were kept very clean, however obvious maintenance was needed, such as in the showers. The entire staff was extremely friendly. The food was average, but the fancy dinner dining was fabulous, definitely recommend the Italian night. The only thing I would change is to have more info about the activities and the places to eat and such. This is great for someone looking for a cheaper all-inclusive who is not too picky. If you are looking for a high end vacation with luxury, this is not the place for you.
