Long Beach - Puerto Plata

Best place to feel the beach, fresh air and relax with a good beer.

Whenever I visit Puerto Plata I always stop here for lunch and a Cuba Libre. I love the staff. I love the view and I love the food.

12/2/2022- party of four . My step kids, a friend and I asked our driver to please take to an authentic Dominican restaurant not a touristy restaurant. So, our driver took us here and Sid Dominicans frequent this place . The restaurant is unassuming . That bathroom is 1/2 mile away . You have to ask them and they will give you a peso to pay the lady that works In the bathroom . This restaurant has a great view of the beach . I asked for chicken soup and rice . It was good . The coffee was great too . If you want to eat where Dominicans eat this would be the place . No prices on the menu but everything is affordable . Don’t be surprised if you ask for something and they many not have it . Be flexible . Also a lot of street vendors will come in and try to sell you stuff . I don’t mind this part . But if you aren’t good with people trying to sell you . Prob avoid this place or bring some dollars to give away to those who try to sell you . I would go back here .

The city of Puerto Plata had a really good Idea with the Casettas and Casetta #1 is my Favorite this is at Long Beach . The Fruit Juices are a must have for me when I go there. I enjoy fried Fish there when I am there arround Noon. The People allways friendly and the Police presence let us feel secure. Perfect to go with children.Things have changed the service is really slow the products are not that good as I remember them . One Thing to mention that during 1 hour have been 5 hatian boys at our Table for to clean or shoes , shoeshine on clogs makes a lot of sense. The same time 7 sellers also . this is the worst not even be able to eat in peace.

Quiet not the cleanest...but my 4 legged family love it
