Jasy Restobar - Puerto Iguazú

Another non credit card place, cash only. Would not have gone had I known that, but if you don't care about that, had an excellent steak and grilled veg. (shared), beer and half bottle Malbec for 550 pesos. Very relaxed atmosphere, ate on the deck, nice friendly service with better English than my Spanish.

We were staying at the Hotel Jasy to which this restaurant is attached so we thought we would give it a try. We were impressed by the open air eating area and the friendly service. It was slightly rustic in a nice kind of way. We had a pizza which was very good. We planned to eat here again when we didn't feel like walking up the incline to town but were told in the late afternoon that it would not be open except for drinks. A bit annoying.

The place was practically empty when we arrived however it still had a great atmosphere thanks to the lovely outdoor seating area and the top quality service. We were pleasantly surprised to find the menu had plenty of pizza options including a good number of vegetarian options (perfect as I am vegetarian) -- there were also other non-pizza options but I got the impression that pizza is the specialty. The pizza was excellent. The vegetables from the assado were succulent and perfectly done and the pizza had a nice thin base/crust just the way I like it.

I ate here twice and really enjoyed it. I say out on their large deck and it was very nice. The waiter was exceptionally nice though quite busy. The food was reasonably priced and good.

No food at the time we visited, but serviceable bar and great people who work there. Very little English spoken but such nice people!
