Bodegon Puerto Cruz - Puerto de la Cruz

I went here for the first time with my wife and two friends from the US. The staff don’t really speak English and the menu is simple but it is obviously a place which local people use and they are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere/ decor is very nice. We had a tapas mix for entrees cheese, croquettes and garlic prawns and they give you bread with a garlic mayo type dip. All delicious and mopped up by everyone. We had a mix of main courses: two chicken dishes (one a curry and one a sort of Hawaiian I think), a fish stew and meatballs. All came with white rice and all were delicious. We had both red and white wine (house wine local and very acceptable) in generous quantities. Didn’t have time for dessert as it was 1030 11pm and they seemed to be closing. Didn’t need it though. Only cost us about €70 80 for 4 of us. Will definitely go back there it’s a lovely restaurant.

What a great place, simple, family run restaurant with a separate snack/tapas bar. Husband and wife team with multilingual menus, it doesn't matter that they speak only Spanish. Ate here twice during an 8 night stay in PDLC, bt times well under 30 Euros, absolute bargain and local experience to boot.

My wife and I have been here twice in the last seven days. Its a real gem of a place but a bit off the beaten track near the Plaza Charco. Entry through a small door leads to a super small friendly localplace. where the locals come to eat. They have a gas fired Rotisseri which does the best roasted chicken ever The Vino de la casa is most excellent and prices are half that of places in the Plaza. Really nice serving lady brings complimentary liquer with your bill. Definately the place to come again and again.

Comida casera, raciones adecuadas, calidad-precio muy bien. Nos atendieron genial además : Recomendable!!!!
