El Vaquero - Provo

The best tacos in Provo! This place is the biggest hole in the wall, but the food is lace notch. The only reason I pulled a star is that I got food poisoning from the chicken once. I've never heard of anyone who has problems, so be careful when you order the chicken.

We saw great reviews for this place on Yelp, but honestly got worried once we walked inside. It's a little hole in the wall, there were no customers and we could only see 1 woman at the counter no one else in sight. So glad we stayed. Large portions, low cost, food ready super fast, and great taste. My wife had a steak casadilla and I had the Hurache with asada. Both really good. The homemade chips and salsa were both terrific. Will definitely return here!

I 've tried all the street tacos in Provo and these ones are the only ones that leave me saying wow . The meat is delicious and their salsas are my favorite of any taco shops here in Provo. The onions and cilantro aren 't as fresh as some other places and it isn 't as clean and up-to-date as other places but their tacos are still my favorite.

Love. Love. Love. Love. LOVE!!! I love authentic Mexican food. I grew up in L.A. and know good street tacos, and this place has THE BEST TACOS in Utah County. Their asada (steak) tacos are my personal favorite and rival any taco I've had from Mexico, CA, or AZ. THAT'S A BIG DEAL. Their guacamole salsa in their salsa bar is fantastic as well! The restaurant is not the prettiest, but seriously, who cares? I would rather pay a little over a buck per taco for a mouth watering taco than, $3.00 per mediocre taco and sit in a posh place anyday. Plus when Jesus runs the kitchen, what else can you ask for? NOW GO THERE!!

A fantastic little hole-in-the-wall type place, with wonderful tacos at a great price. Served in small tortillas (make sure you order more than one), the asada tacos are a favorite of mine (well seasoned meat, not full of gristle or fat), but the tacos al pastor are not to be missed. A sauce and toppings bar is convenient so that you can dress up your tacos with sauces or traditional onions and cilantro. Stop in for a quick bite or a full meal and catch any soccer games on their TV. Ice cold Mexican sodas are offered as well.
