The Family Cake - Providence

The staff at this restaurant is incredibly kind and friendly. I decided to order a Dominican cake because I was really in the mood for that authentic Dominican cake and its frosting. However, when it arrived, I was disappointed to find that it was not actually a Dominican cake at all. The frosting, which is the best part, was not the traditional Dominican frosting but instead a whipped cream frosting. I will have to look for other local bakers who work from home and make authentic Dominican cakes.

Today, I purchased The Family Cake's Better Loaf Cake at Pricerite. The cake had a date of 9/4/23 on it. After trying a slice at home, I found it to be extremely dry and difficult to eat, even with a glass of milk. I was very disappointed with the quality of the cake.

I recently discovered these cakes at Pricerite and they are absolutely delicious! I now only visit Pricerite for these cakes. The pineapple flavor is hands down my favorite!
