It can get very busy and a bit crowded but I think that's just a reflection of how delicious the desserts are. The service was very good as well. This is a perfect place to extend a dinner date if you've just enjoyed a nice Italian meal on Federal Hill, or an evening at Water Fire. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in Providence. A lover of desserts, I find myself wishing every city had a Pastiche!
I struggle with Pastiche. Their desserts are good. The coffee is good. The venue is insanely crowded and often bursting with clients who can't be bothered to mutter an "excuse me" as they elbow their way to the cashier. If you somehow manage to grab a seat, you're lucky...but be prepared to feel cramped and inadvertently ignored by the overworked (maybe understaffed?) servers. It's really not their fault though. If they were able to pick themselves up and relocate to a place with more space, they'd be worth 4 stars. goodeatsmundial.com
Best fruit tart!. They have the best fruit tart in the New England area! It's seaonal tho - a few times I went there in the winter time they didn't have it.
