I love Long Live! I go at least once a week with my husband. Excellent beer selection with enough variety and complexity to make me want to return time and again. I'm an IPA junkie and there's always something tasty on tap for me. Taproom is a bit small for the following of fans, but it's really well worth standing room only sometimes. Outside patio is nice in the warmer weather months. Armando, Ericka and all the bartenders are all great. They're occasionally canning as of late but usually everything is available for growlers. Well worth a visit if you're a local or in the city visiting.
Long Live Beerworks is a very welcome addition to the budding RI beer scene and it 's about damn time our fair capitol has a brewery of its own. And what a brewery it is! Probably smaller than your local corner old man 's bar, but the beers are cutting edge. Armando trained in England and is a master of the traditional styles but quickly sussed out that a big contingent of NE craft beer lovers are forever looking for 'hazier, hoppier '. Luckily, I enjoy both. While the Wesside IPA and All Seeing Eye DIPA are my favorite local IPAs, they also make an awesome coffee stout, Coarse Grind, and a really enjoyable porter, Harry May. On Fridays they always have a one off special cask on hand glasses only, no growler fills. Typically, they have four other beers on tap for single pours, tastings, or growler fills. Seating consists of a. L shaped bar, a few tables, a back counter and an outdoor patio it 's a nice place to hang out and I 've met a lot of friendly people here. They 've started releasing cans every few weeks. You really should go now, so you can tell your kids you went back in the day, when they were a postage stamp sized brewery because it 's obvious this place is bound for bigger and better things. Cheers! P. S. If you get hungry, Slow Rhode is next door, and Bucktown is down the road or Kitchen (Laughing Gorilla) is around the corner. Best of all... It 's in Pvd but they have free parking!
Cannot say enough great things about this place. Beer is always solid and always rotating for a different flavor of beers. I'm not a huge IPA person, but when LL comes out with a new one, I am there to try it!! Great staff as well, love to hang out this little place.
First time at brewery but have tried their beers at fests for a while. Overall just fantastic beer and service, especially being slammed on a Sunday but staff was friendly and able to handle everything with a smile. One of the best examples of small breweries in Rhode Island.
