This is a great place for authentic Mexican cuisine. it is fresh and ready to order. the cocktails are fantastic two margaritas are to die for especially the mango margarita. great food reasonable price perfect atmosphere makes it one of the best restaurants in providence

The best eating in providence chef maria is an artist and her whole family makes this place one must go once a week for us.

I found el rancho online and I am so happy that I did it. on Saturday afternoon I stopped a late lunch at 2 o'clock, so the restaurant was not too busy. I started with her house margarita (plain, not flavored), which was excellent and with exactly the right amount of tequila. their chips and salsa are homemade and the salsa has a rich deep smokey taste, with only one hauch of heat. the small guacamole was also fresh and creamy. I ordered the hühnermol entrée 12), which was served with yellow rice, fried beans and tortillas. the mol sauce was complex and one of the best I ever had. I would have preferred it a little less sweet. in the midst of my meal, chef maria said hi to me, asking how everything was – excellent, I answered and then immediately she poured a free shot tequila for the two of us sitting in the bar, as well as for themselves. what a beautiful geste! service was excellent and friendly. my meal cost $32 before the drink money, including two margaritas for $14. I want to come back and try everything else on their menu.

Delicious food, great attentive service! the tamales are authentic and the tacos excellent! you will not go wrong with this hidden gem!
