Saigon Gate North Adelaide - Prospect

We visited this restaurant for dinner with two adults and our 4-year-old. We ordered a bowl of pho, fried rice, and stir-fried beef. The pho arrived piping hot, and I asked for a small bowl for my son, as he couldn't handle the large one. The staff informed me there would be a $2 charge, but I explained it was just for my little one. They provided the small bowl but still charged us at the end. I understand charging for an extra bowl if someone is only sharing the pho, but this felt quite unreasonable. I was disappointed and won't be returning.

Saigon Gate on O'Connell Street offers a fantastic selection of vegan and gluten-free main dishes. They are incredibly delicious!

I ordered the combo entree, which included just one spring roll, one dim sim, and one prawn, and it was poorly presented. The service was extremely slow, and the food took a long time to arrive. I definitely won't be returning.

5 star. I am giving this because the last time I remember coming here, we were celebrating one of my best friends birthday. It was one of the most memorable and greatest nights of my life. She is no longer here with us, it was the last time we got to celebrate like that for her and this place gives me comfort knowing that we got to share that special moment together. She was happy that night. I have not been back here since. I am going to be honest with you for the sake of this review. Most of their dishes are highly recommend. I have been to the other one on Prospect many times and rated it too. Overall, it was great company, great food, great service. Try their creamy pepper chicken with rice.

We went for dinner on a sat night. Very busy. Looked like they were short staffed like many businesses The staff they had were really working hard trying their best. Bit of a wait for the food, but well worth the wait. Everything was well cooked delicious. Best to book before.
