This ice cream parlor is top notch. Homemade to perfection. Great flavors. Really friendly service.

Haven't been here in about 15 years and still the best ice cream in CT!! Living in Denver now so I can't get this great ice cream as often as I would like. Always and still recommend Big Dipper!

Undecided between Toasted Almond or Toasted Coconut... i finally went with Almond. Creamy and flavorful. My wife and kids enjoyed their picks too, Pumpkin Caramel, Cookie Dough with Strawberry topping, and Butter Nut with Snickers. Good prices too,but it's understaffed.

Best ice cream in the state!!! Delicious cream is phenomonal!!!! The service is unbelievable. Harry and his crew really got it together!!! The lines that form everyday prove my statements. The girls do a great job of getting people in and out. A Must Goif you haven't experienced The Big Dipper yet. Best ice cream/shop in the state!!!!

One word, Great! Excellent polite, efficient and swift service... which to me is the hallmark of this establishment. That is how I'd want ice cream... anywhere! And, it is exquisite. It is not your regular Hershey joint... aerated flufy scoops made with asyou can taste reduced fat milk... this is real Ice CREAM... the way it is supposed to be... no overpowering flavors... thoughcouple of them I found to be a bit excessively sweeter... the two I tried were oreo and black and white. But the flavors werespot on Kids loved and the place was humming. Excellent!
