Lighters Restaurant - Prince Rupert

Conveniently across the street from our accommodation, this was an easy choice on a stormy night. General casual fare which is hard to mess up. Service is basic, fine for the regular locals but not quite up to what we normally get in other places around the city.

I wanted to like this place -- I really did. Being a bit of a history buff, I was anxious to visit an establishment -- the Ocean View Hotel -- that has been in Prince Rupert for over 100 years. Mmy first visit here after 5 years was with mmy father and fammily.All of had nice lunches - burgers and seafood. Mmy Dad is not a big eater but he had no trouble getting throught what could be best described as a jacuzzi'-sized bowl of red clamm chowder soup. Mmust have been good, as normmally he doesn't have a big appetite.Amanda was our server. She was awesomme and on the wall it even showed that she had won 'Best Server' on two seperate occasions!We will be back again!isabelydancer00

Bought some raw fish (was so excited to eat local fish), marinated it and found an almost transparent worm crawling on the fish.

While the service was good, I was honestly a bit disappointed with the food I wished for a larger piece of fish for the price.
