(I have just been informed there is 1 more which I have not tried, Mr.Sushi)The service is excellent, the rolls are just utterly perfect. The sashimi is fresh, every single time. Anything you order here is wonderful. A few favorites include: the maki maki roll, the smoked salmon roll, the spicy dynamite roll, the mango roll, the happy eel roll. I am from out of town and whenever I am in Prince George, I visit twice. Priced as any good sushi is. My favourite ebi sunomuno of anywhere I've been. I can't say enough about this place. If you can't go here, Tokyo is a close second. But do not, under any circumstances, visit sushi star.
My wife and I wanted something different for dinner and decided on sushi. We had not been here since the restaurant had changed names from the Sushi Hut to Sushi 97. We had bento boxes and they where delicious. Other dishes that went to other tables looked very tasty also. We will be going back.
We were so pleased to see a new Sushi restaurant had opened where Sushi Hut used to be. Sushi 97 is larger and has a pleasant decor. Service is fast and friendly and the menu is extensive. We each enjoyed different Bento boxes which are accompanied by Miso Soup and another appetizer. My partner polished off all his food but I struggled and had to take some of it home with me. Our meal was accompanied by a pot of Japanese Tea. The food was very good and a real taste treat. Patrons come and go quickly due to the fast service. Take out seems to be popular and I can see why.My only minor complaint is that the service was almost too fast and I didn't have a chance to finish my appetizer before my Bento Box was served. Next time I will ask them to wait. And there will definitely be a next time. A definite recommend.
Great sushi, fast service, and right off of the side of the highway! A great location for some delicious sushi.
Our family has been to Sushi 97 on many occasions. Our favourites are the bento boxes which is enough for sharing for 2 people. Each bento is served with sunomono salad and miso soup. We have also had the teriyaki rice bowls, udon noodles, sashimi and sushi rolls. Everything is delicious. The sashimi is always fresh and the food quality is as good as and better than many restaurants in Vancouver. The servers are always friendly. Sushi 97 is now our family favourite for all occasions.
