We had goat curry, eggplant pilaf and vegetable rice. All were medium hot. My partner enjoyed the meal and subsequent leftovers while I found it too hot for my western tastebuds. For me, the heat obscured the taste of the food. But that's just me. I know many enjoy this small owner operated restaurant and I suggest you give it a try if you like hot food. Many do.
Cozy Restaurant. Home made cooking. Efficient and friendly staff. Curry Goat, Excellent! Great value for money. Will be back.
I highly recommend the chole pitoura or the vegetable korma. Pretty much everything they make is stellar but those 2 are my faves. This is a smallish, family run business with great food and friendly service :)
This restaurant had been recommended by some locals and since our son and his girlfriend were moving to PG we decided to take them out for their first dinner in town. When we entered, the rich smell of curry greeted us. We started off with the veggi pakoras served with tamarind sauce which were tender and delicious - the waitress added extra on the plate to ensure that we had enough. We decided to order a number of dishes and eat them family style. Everything was delicious! From the pappadoms to the butter chicken, beef vindaloo, Gobi and saag, plus some raita and mango chutney - well let's just say we had more than enough food (because we are pigs, there was one lunch to take home.) Best butter chicken ever. We have already planned our next trip to visit and coming to DANA Mandi will be mandatory.
They have a buffet at lunch and at dinner. It is very reasonably priced and it is delicious. This is a small family run restaurant that is not fancy at all but it makes up for it with the quality of the food.
