The Boreal Bistro Inc - Prince Albert

What a great meal we had. We are staying at the hotel this restaurant is located in and have enjoyed such a wonderful meal. Everything was perfect and the atmosphere was great. We look forward to returning the next time we are in Prince Albert, SK

The service was ok and food was delicious! Spent a lovely lunch with co workers on a workshop day. I would good again.

We stayed at the hotel attached to the restaurant and received vouchers for breakfast. The hotel told us it's a private restaurant not affiliated with the hotel. With that in mind, it made sense that we didn't receive a full menu. For breakfast with vouchers we were given four choices, "no substitutions or refills". I chose the option called "2 pancakes and 2 sausages" and was delighted to discover that the pancakes were AMAZING. I wish I could've had just pancakes and skipped the sausages. Could've saved them money. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a refill on my coffee.

This was our first visit to Boreal Bistro for Dinner and it certainly won't be the last. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. It was fine dining at its best!

We went for a business lunch - but went after the lunch rush would be...and it was quite obvious we were having a business meeting. The DM was giving a speech when the waitress interrupted to tell us the specials. She later left, he continued and she came back again and interrupted his speech again. We had to tell her to give us a few minutes.There were eight of us (six of which left hungry). If you want a lot of food, order a burger because the size of the bun was massive!Four people ordered the chicken bites and fries with gravy. Well save ordering gravy unless you like gravy on wedges - because they are wedges...not fries. And the portion of those meals was small. I ordered a salad and added chicken. It looked big because it was in a tall bowl on a plate. I took it out of the bowl and when it was just on the plate it was just a decent salad...not overly big (but just eating a salad you want a lot to fill you!). I do have to say it was the tastiest vinaigrette I have ever had in my life!The hotel smells old when you first walk in, and it is in a rough area of town, but the restaurant was clean and nice. The pictures on tripadvisor make it look a little fancier than it really was. The pictures show cute little checkered tablecloths...but they were dollar store plastic. They need to invest in some cute checkered cloth ones - it would look quaint!Also - my salad came out fancy on a porcelain bowl and plate...while the other meals were in dollar store plastic baskets with checkered paper. the wait-staff were okay but when it came time to bring out the food it turned into a gong show. She kept asking who ordered the chicken salad and everyone kept saying that I did and when she finally listened she came over to me - but then put a soup and chicken salad sandwich in front of me. It was a scramble to get everyone's food settled, which again took away from the important lunch meeting we were trying to have. I used to be a waitress and there are two things all wait-staff should remember-: Pay attention to what your table is doing and before anything - say "would you like me to give you a few minutes and you can feel free to call me over when you are ready-" understand the importance of knowing who-ordered-what and placing it in front of them with little disturbance. Food, drink refills, etc should be done with little impact to the tables' conversation
