I called my order in, which I always doI get to the counter and pay for my food.
I ordered pepper steak and general tso chicken off of the lunch menu. The peppers were not good and the general chicken was still raw in the center.
Stopped here for late breakfast and it was busy. Ordered the traditional sausage and poached eggs. The meal came out hot and as ordered. Are coffee and water was always refilled. Everyone was friendly and seemed to be a lot of repeat customers. Good value.
I highly recommend Chicken Chef if you are looking for a good breakfast. They have a weekday special ($6 for a great breakfast). The eggs benedict are always a good choice and I also recommend the Chef's breakfast. You get a lot of food for what you pay.On to the chicken! Chicken Chef has become my go to place for chicken in Prince Albert and I would honestly rather go here then KFC (KFC is still tasty). The chicken is fried very nicely; it isn't too greasy and has just the right amount of seasoning. The chicken strips are a must try as well. This restaurant is a great place to sit down with family and have a great meal. It is calm, quiet and the service is fast and friendly. The sides here are very nice too with fresh choices like coleslaw, potato salad, crispy fries and soft buns.I've never had a bad experience at Chicken Chef and I've always enjoyed my meal. One small knock is that I tried the Chef's Scramble (hash browns, tomatoes, cheese and two eggs covered in Hollendaise sauce), there was way too much Hollendaise sauce and it made everything soggy. It was still very tasty but it was a bit too much! Next time I will stick to the Chef's Breakfast or maybe the Veggie Omelette.
