I hate to say that but, all four meals served were cold and overpriced. The fries were hard like they were made hours before. The chicken in my sandwich was overcooked and chewy. The toast had fake oil butter brushed on it that tasted like oil. The eggs were overcooked and cold. The breakfast potatoes were clearly old and chewy. Pros: All of the staff that served us were friendly and attentive. They were all real gems and that is not something you find often these days. I can't help but wonder if they were trying to compensate for what they knew was overpriced bad food. The cocktails were tasty (though small and overpriced). There was a sense of confusion amongst the staff regarding leadership issues. There was a band playing, which at times is nice. However we were there for a quiet anniversary dinner with a beautiful view and conversation between each other. The only open restaurant had a band playing loudly right in the middle of the tables. We requested to take out food on the patio and the server kindly accommodated going through double doors to serve us. That really saved the evening. We would have preferred the fine dining option but it was closed and they said they now “merged” the dining room and lounge to serve guests. So sad to see such a beautiful establishment suffering.
First I didn't know it really isn't a restrauant it's just a few tables in the lobby area. There was no music. They told us they ran out of a lot of food. We only had a choice of two items. One was brisket and it was so tough we couldn't eat it. Food was cold. We were told it's because they are not a real restaurant the have to carry it always from the hotel. Asked for drinks but we couldn't have the drinks we ordered I mean any of them because they didn't have the mixes they needed. We just wanted a nice dinner drinks some good food and a nice time. Don't waste your money. Our bill was 75.00 for two. The other nites we ate at Cracker Barrel and Golden Corral. There is also a great Mexican restaurant right down the road which was great. They were all great and a lot cheaper.
Had reservations for 730 wasn't seated until 815. Then took 2 hours for food to be served. The restaurant had very few customers and $75 a plate I expected better service. Overall will not be dining there anytime soon.
While we realize New Years Eve can be busy this review is for that evening. We arrived early for our reservation to check in and were informed of a 30-40 minute delay in seating due to ‘short staffing' This was a planned event, advertised price fixed meal.. staffing should have been adequately planned. We made the reservation two days prior, if they were booked we should not have been able to make the reservations. The hostess was lost. Asked for our names 4 plus times and was frantic. The meal: pre-plated salads and appetizers which by a later reservation were not served at the correct temperature and were returned. Entree was acceptable but at this time we were afraid to return anything additional. Dessert was also pre plated and cream was flat Don't waste your money on this one in the future. They have lots of issues to iron out.
Waitress was very good and attentive, however we were never offered water at the table and we had to ask the bus boy several times for water. Other than that, the evening was very enjoyable. I might add that we ate at Icha Maajoh not The Eagles Nest.
