Varful Cu Dor - Predeal

Great location in Predeal, nice terrace , clean and good food and service. Romanian food are excellent, also salads.Meat is well cook and the service is ok, you don't have to wait .All in all was a great lunch.

When we arrive at Varful cu Dor with the family and 2 children there was nobody to greet us at the door. After waiting for a few minutes during which time we looked like fools waiting for someone to invite us to one of the tables we eventually sat down at one of the tables. The food arrived late and it was our fault in a way because we were very hungry when we arrived at the restaurant. It was clear to us that they were understaffed for a Saturday evening and a restaurant that was full of people. The lady who served us had zero empathy, she had monosyllabic answer to our questions such as "Do you have half litre bottles of wine" or "How is the beef steak". We asked for mashed garlic (mujdei) for our tripe soup but it looked like it was made 2 days before so we didn't touch it. The "medium" beef steak which I ordered was well done and tough as leather. The skinless sausages (mici) which my son ordered were very spicy so he could not eat them. Overall bad service and even worse food. We shall not return there.

Relaxing place for eat, with a nice atmosphere and good food! The location is great and the service was very pleasant!

Even thou it has the romanina traditional menu, the restaurant manages to provide tasty dishes, large enough and most notably - the soups. The personell is ok and you do not weait much to be served. Good choice for a nice lunch and/or dinner.

On a hot summer day I needed a place to have lunch and tried out tgis restaurant. Only one waitress and a second one helping from time to time. She complained a lot and it was understandable. It didn't stop me from ordering and I was pretty surprised by the quality of the food. Well prepared and very tasty. For this reason I gave it a 4 stars and also the prices are fair. I was told to pay cash and I asked to pay by card. It took them 15 min to make this happen and were very upset about this....
