Cozy place, with a very personalized and attentive service.The food, well, the food was amazing. Certainly cooked with passion.We tasted several things. The pork bittersweet was good, the codfish was tender and the chicken stuffed was delicious.

A unique place to visit for beautifully cooked homemade food all prepared and served by husband and wife. We sat outside to eat after receiving a very friendly welcome and refreshments. Three courses were then served over a couple of hours and each course was delicious and well presented. You have to book here to eat as they only open when they have bookings but it is well worth making the effort to book and travel here. It felt like being to dinner in their home. The food served depends on what they are cooking that day rather than a menu but they are so kind and ask before you come what you like to eat. As we are here for months, we will definitely be back a few times when they have availability for us.

O pau nos recebe como amigos e nos acompanha até que partimos, explicando tudo o que acontecerá e se você tiver disponibilidade ainda dá 2 dedos de boa conversa. O tarpaulin cuidadosamente prepara tudo o que vamos saborear, as entradas fantásticas (quebrando o pão da manhã, cogumelos recheados, camarão frito, camembert ao barr e alguns lamber-a-fingers! E o frango recheado estava chorando por mais! Escolhi a manjedoura para o meu almoço de aniversário e foi uma festa a sério! Obrigado e fique e até breve!

It is a family run business, where you make reservations and order in advance. Often it is just for your party of 4 minimum, but they can accommodate a party of 50. You choose indoor or outdoor sitting and you can help plan your menu or leave it up to the owner and his chef wife. They did not disappoint.
