Lake Country House - Powys

The restaurant was pleasant. The staff were very attentive. However, the glass of water lacked chilliness. It would be nice to have fresh flowers on the tables, or at least a vase in the dining room. The white tablecloths were beautiful. The dinner cost £55.00 per person for a four-course meal. Most dishes lacked flavor, but I did enjoy the brisket.

I searched for a nice spot for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's birthday, and The Lake Hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. I decided to make a reservation and I was not disappointed at all - it was fantastic. The afternoon tea was delicious, and they even surprised us with a birthday cake and candle at our table when they found out it was my friend's special day. We chose to sit outside because the weather was so pleasant. I can highly recommend this hotel for its delicious food, very friendly staff, and extremely attentive service. The location and views were also wonderful. I will definitely come back. Thank you so much for making our visit so special.

We dined at the hotel restaurant for both nights of our stay at this hotel. The menu was fantastic, but I am unsure how often it is updated for more variety. The restaurant had a very laid-back atmosphere, with orders taken in the lounge, and the service was consistently excellent. They easily accommodated specific dietary restrictions. Breakfast was served in the conservatory and offered a wide variety of cooked and lighter options. The lighter options were mostly buffet-style. Overall, everything about our dining experience was excellent.

Booked a special February deal at one of our favourite hotels. The deal included one of their suites which turned out to be be very comfortable. Cannot praise the service we received enough from the friendly staff. Our comfort was further enhanced by the lovely log fire in the lounge which was very welcome on a cold day after a walk by the lake. Food was excellent from the cream tea on arrival abd the delicious dinner in the evening to the tasty breakfast in the morning. It was definitely a home from home and we very sorry to leave. We will definitely return.

Another amazing stay, surroundings perfect, staff brilliant and the food excellent. Really good dog friendly hotel will superb walks.
