Myself, my partner, and our friends visited this pub for dinner and drinks whilst in the area and we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were very good, the staff were extremely accommodating and kind, and the I establishment was really nice. Thank you for your hospitality, we had a great evening.

Can't fault my experience at the Blackcock Inn this evening. Popped in last moment for some food and a couple of drinks after a lovely 15 minute walk from our air B&B just up the road to hear they were fully booked for the evening. The lady working in the bar asked the chef if we could be squeezed in, to which he obliged and we were seated on a lovely country pub style table by the bar. We ordered a local pale ale and a chardonnay, both of which were outstanding, food arrived quickly and was above average in quality, for around a tenner a main, we were really pleased. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we'd recommend anyone who's a fan of independent country pubs with bags of character visit. Cheers

Lovely warm welcome from the landlord who made us feel very valued. Food was cooked fresh to order, great portion sizes and reasonably priced. All in all a very pleasant evening. We'd definitely come back here to eat and will definitely recommend !
