Great experience. This is my first time here and the food is great. I love Hibachi, show is good and the boss is very funny. The yum-yum sauce is delicious, I and my family all like it so much. And that's great. Special rolls are beautiful and beautiful, we will be back.

Love this place! We love Tanuki. We are always greeted with a smile and conversation by the staff who are very attentive to our culinary experience as well. Several times we were treated in the sushi bar with a sample of the sushi cook 's creation of the day. We have never had a little bad experience with Tanuki and have eaten both at the sushi bar and at the Hibachi. I strongly recommend the Coconut Shrimp, Monster Roll and a Glass Cellar No. 8.

Tanuki by far is the best Japanese steakhouse in the whole Columbus area. As soon as you walk in your greeted by an extremely warm and friendly staff. The environment of the restaurant is not like any other in Powell it is amazingly satisfying and relaxing. Not to mention the food, which is absolutely marvelous every thing on the menu is enticing and heavenly pleasant to the taste buds. The sushi is the best I have tried in the Powell area for the price compared to others like kogens and Tokyo sushi which just don't compare in delight fullness. The hibachi chefs are extremely outgoing. Every hibachi entree is savory, rich, delectable, and a prefect combination of sweet spicy and it literally just explodes on your tongue! I love tanuki it is my new favorite restaurant in the Powell restaurant for the price and the quality of their food. Amazing!!!!
