Tanuki - Powell

The sashimi was delightful. However, I was let down by the Spicy Salmon Roll; it lacked any real spice and the fish was minced instead of being in fresh, quality pieces.

I found the Pad Thai to be bland and it had an unusual smell, making it inedible. This was particularly disappointing, considering Tanuki’s usually consistent quality. The Shrimp Tempura sushi was also mushy and lacked flavor; surprisingly, the lettuce in the roll had more taste than the sushi itself. On a positive note, the Philadelphia Roll and sashimi were quite good.

The steak and shrimp were cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious. However, the vegetables were a bit mushy, and the fried rice lacked flavor and seemed quite plain. The portions were smaller than what we typically find at most hibachi places, which was surprising given the prices, but it didn't really bother us.

Once again the hibachi chicken was excellent. This time we tried the sushi it was great, and they accommodated my substitution of soy paper for the nori (with a minimal up charge). Highly recommend!

Not worth the money and will not order again. The serving size is the smallest I have ever seen for the price. The food was okay at best. The fried rice is awful. No veggies. Literally rice and soy sauce. Dont waste your time.
