Przekaż informację zwrotnąI always enjoy the delicious halibut and chips at this restaurant, and their tartar sauce is amazing!
We had the dog with us, and so did takeout. (although I could have whiled away a couple hours over some Coronas on the front porch) Wait staff greeted us on the way in and pointed us to the take-out counter, where another friendly staff took our order, which was ready in 5 minutes, and we were in and out in ten. Good portion 2 Pc beer battered cod and hand chipped chips. mmmmm. As Arnie said. I'll be back ;-)
I know, I know, it's a family restaurant but it feels like a pub and has great pub food. The ribs were so so but the fish and chips were excellent! The hamburger was excellent and the prices were about as expected. Get the fish and chips!
I found this restaurant on trustworthy Tripadvisor because it was away from the hustle and bustle of Powell River, where logger sports were happening this weekend. I expected the town to be crowded, but when we went for coffee around 9pm, most people had already left, so we didn't need to worry. Skeeter Jacks turned out to be a fantastic find! You don't need a reservation unless you have a large party. Don't be put off by the snack shack appearance or the black tablecloths. The service was friendly, the food was affordable, and simply delicious! My husband and I had the freshest halibut and fries, and a cowboy steak with a baked potato, sour cream, and salad. The steak was one of the best I've ever had - juicy and tender. After a couple of beers to wash it all down, we left feeling satisfied and warm. Amazing.
Like many before us, we discovered this restaurant on the highway between Powell River and Saltery Bay. We were especially hungry and just a little desperate because we were travelling on Sunday--almost nothing in Powell River was open but for McDonald's. We had no idea how little lay ahead. Then we saw Skeeter Jack's.Very good food. Typical pub fare in a way but with a lot of creative flourishes. Also, there's a full bar for those who need that. Obviously a very popular place, and another diner told us that you can hardly get in on Friday and Saturday nights.
