Mc Kinney's Pub Eatery - Powell River

The food here is absolutely fantastic! There are some unique vegetarian options on the menu, and while the homemade veggie burger is a standout treat, it's the overall experience of dining here that truly sets it apart from the usual places. It's also a fantastic spot to enjoy some live music. The service is always friendly and attentive. I highly recommend McKinney’s for a delightful dinner or a fun evening filled with great beer and live entertainment.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! I attended my friend's second open mic night, featuring the incredibly talented Ben Wittrock and his team, and I was blown away by the amazing hospitality from the owner, Jonathan Côté. Thanks for the whiskey and for DJing! The bartender was also fantastic, such an outgoing and charming guy. The atmosphere, combined with the unique character of the historic building, really matched the vibrant nightlife, and I enjoyed every moment, even though I awkwardly performed for the first time in front of a crowd. The food was outstanding—I had the chili cheese nachos, which I would rate a perfect 10/10. It seemed like everyone was having a great time. Thank you so much for everything; I’ll definitely be back!

The location is fantastic, and the live bands are excellent. The dance floor is quite lively. While it can get a bit chilly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. There are portable heaters available for extra comfort. The staff is friendly and approachable, contributing to a cheerful vibe throughout the venue.

More beautiful place to listen to some live music can not comment to the beer prices. I don't drink, or eat that, I don't eat bar food, but I enjoyed the music on a level loud enough to dance, but not loud to talk to a friend when back on her table. the price for entering was reasonable and if they like the band, they could tap them in a glass in front of the stage if they don't like them, they only paid $5.00 to get so that it doesn't get too bad
