A W Canada - Powell River

This is my favorite among all the chain burger restaurants. The Buddy Burger offers excellent value and flavor, and two of them make a complete meal. The Teen Burger and Spicy Mama are also fantastic, and they serve an impressive Beyond Burger. I personally prefer the onion rings over fries, although fries are definitely available. The seasoning on A&W fries sets them apart from most fast food fries, so if you do prefer fries, they are a solid choice. Plus, their root beer is the best soda flavor, which adds to their appeal. My only complaint is their breakfast, which isn't great. Using hamburger buns for the sandwiches is a downside as well. The prices for sit-down service are decent, but it can't quite compete with a diner.

I ordered the All Canadian Special and opted for pancakes instead of toast, which came at no extra charge. They even provided a pre-chilled mug for the tap water. In contrast, the following morning in Lillooet, I was served on paper plates with wooden utensils for dining in, and got my water in a cardboard cup. There were no pancakes offered, and the meal was a dollar or two more expensive. Overall, this A&W in Powell River was a much better experience.

I asked for a burger without cheeze due to allergies. The burger I received was obviously pre made with cheeze and they just remove the cheeze.Theres was a significant amount of melted cheeze on there. Ended up tossing it out.

I was impressed with how quickly my order was taken and how fast the food arrived. I ordered four burgers and a pie, and everything came out hot and fresh.

Love the Teen Burger with onion rings plus the diet Root beer.
