Filippi's Pizza Grotto - Poway

This mom and pop pizza place is great. Pure good moods as soon as I entered the Peppy hostess and even the customers out on their way home smiled at me. Filippi's has a very clean, clean and well decorated style. The pizza tastes homemade with high-quality ingredients from someone who knows what they do, verses a chain company. I definitely come back to try more items on the menu, especially their desserts.

Friend said this place was important SD. So we went... just before we went to Poway Candy Cane Lane (but after we met the Tokerewski). Could it then be assumed that review? No! This place is legit! On Saturday night he went with a waiting period. And we were right. But no trip, it was only 30 minutes. Also, we cannot be annoyed as we rolled 2 deep at 7:30 for dinner rush. I said that... wait. LOTTA cheese, a prof amount of jalapenos and the service was on point. Great smile to constantly see how they can help the customer and a good team dynamics. If I were you, I would go here.

Always a good time at Filippi’s. We got 2 pizzas to share and had lots of leftovers to bring home for later. The pizzas here are LOADED with cheese so if you are into it then this is the place for you. If you’re not then I would suggest ordering other items! The pizzas are very filling, gooey and delicious!

We always have fun going to Filippis. Big portions. Be prepared to bring some food home.

Been living in Poway for the last 28 years and this was the first time I've visited this location... And let me tell ya, the wait was worth it. Good dough and we asked for easy cheese so it was a good ratio of everything. Definitely a more Italian spot than a New York pizza sort of place so plan accordingly
