The restaurant looked like an old two-story farmhouse, which was a nice touch. We were seated promptly and the restaurant was busy. We ordered our appetizer (see picture) which was delicious. Our waitress, Tristan, seemed a bit distracted and not very attentive to our table. She was handling multiple tables with the help of the busboy, who seemed indifferent to our needs. Despite these issues, our family enjoyed the food, which was tasty and served in large portions. We did notice that the manager did not check on other tables to see how everything was. Overall, we had no complaints about the food, but the staff could use some improvement in their attitudes towards customers.
I recently tried to make a reservation for a small dinner party of 12 people at a restaurant. I asked if we could have separate checks since some of us drink and some do not, and some of us have dessert while others do not. However, the owner told me they do not offer separate checks as they are not a diner. I was surprised and decided to cancel the reservation. I found it baffling that the restaurant was willing to give up a $700 bill over this issue. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Instead, we ended up going to Jason Patrick's, where they were happy to accommodate our request for separate checks.
We had a fantastic experience at this hidden gem in Poughkeepsie, NY. The owner, Lauren, warmly greeted our group of 6 at the door. Our spacious table was very comfortable. The martinis were amazing and the warm rolls were indulgent. Our main courses were perfectly timed and served piping hot on a cold evening. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area. Don't miss out on this place! They have a huge private parking lot, ample wheelchair accessibility, and are willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. The service was excellent and we had a lovely dinner. The price per person ranged from $20 to $30.
The meal was decent, but not exceptional considering the lengthy wait. Two members of our party ordered the 16 oz sirloin, which only came with a choice of potato, courgette, or another vegetable but not both. Unfortunately, the potato courgette was served cold. A salad was included with the meal, and the rolls were extremely hard. I have never experienced such a long wait for a reservation at a restaurant, and it was quite disappointing. On a positive note, our waiter provided attentive and courteous service. Overall Experience: - Service: Dine-in - Meal Type: Dinner - Price per person: $100+
We had dinner at J. Domenick’s last evening with family from CT. Previously we have always had a delicious meal and great service here. We were very dissalojnted with our food last evening. My crabmeat stuffed filet of sole tasted very fishy along with the so called crab meat stuffing hardly containing any crabmeat, mainly bread crumbs. I barely got through a quarter of the meal and wouldn’t eat anymore and spoke to the waitress about this. Another family member had the stuffed crab meat shrimp dish and again the shrimp was like rubber with no crab meat in the stuffing. A third family member had veal parmigiana dinner and said the tomato sauce was very watery, not good for the money that we were paying Unfortunately the quality of the food was not up to our expectations at all, which disappointed us as long time customers of J. Domenick’s. We were also surprised that a Manager didn’t even come out to apologize for the issue of our food.
