Jangling Jack's Bar & Grill

One of my fave bars in sydney. Great cocktails and grub. Sometimes surly staff. Kitsch decor but comfy booths. As Cool as a cucumber.

Went back for another visit as I enjoyed the first one and still impressed with the vibe, food, service and wine selections. Quite small, seems to be the trend now. They have live jazz once a week which would be super noisy given the small size but very intimate if you like an up close and personal session,

What a great, funky bar with terrific staff, great atmosphere and good 'bar food. they have a jazz night altho we did not visit that night. GREAT selection of beers and gin, locals love it, I 'll be going back.

Went in for a quick pre dinner cocktail here on Friday. Nice ambience and cocktails ok. However, experience was let down by the misleading up selling from the waitress. We ordered a margarita with the waitress and then at the end of the conversation, she asked if we wanted strawberry in it with it as they had some left . We said yes. Then when the bill came, we had been charged an extra 5 dollars for some sort of strawberry liquor which had been added to the cocktail. The cocktail was already 20 dollars.There was absolutely no mention of any addition when we ordered. Very strange experience and won 't return because of this.

... I’d almost move back to Sydney to be near this place!!! No.1 the staff. Never met them before but they were like old (and fun) friends in five minutes. Cocktails are to die for (try the Red Bush). Amazing range of wines and spirits (esp the single malts). Had the steak frites best rare steak I’ve had, hard to find a chef that can do rare properly but they’re here. Atmosphere 10 out of 5. Will try to stay nearby on future trips to Sydney.
