Wiener Restaurant and Cafe - Potsdam

Locale carino molto ben situato alla porta del palazzo Sans-souci. Il personale è molto gentile ma purtroppo il cibo è nella media. Abbiamo preso due schnitzel con funghi di stagione e due birre per 45€. Ho pagato 50€. Il cameriere si aspettava a 5€ di mancia?! Un po' strano

Situated on the corner of Luisenplatz and the narrow alley to the castle it is a romantic place. We had Apfelstrudel (apple strudel) one afternoon in the cafe garden. The serving took some time, but the waiting time was worth it. We enjoyed the classical music that the cafe/restaurant plays from noon until closing time. I know it because we stayed at the hotel opposite the Wiener restaurant and cafe.

Eine Brotzeit dachten wir uns, kleiner Blick auf die Speisekarte und wir kehrten ein. Es erwartete uns ein netter Garten etwas abgelegen vom Louisenplatz mit einem sehr altbackenem bis stark an frühere DDR-Zeit erinnerndes Inneres - wir blieben draußen!Das männliche Petsonal sehr beflissen und freundlich, das weibliche naja, sagen wir bemüht freundlich. Die Toiletten nicht sehr gepflegt und eng. Wir hatten 2 x die kleine Brotzeit mit billiger Mailänder Salami (so meine Vermutung), billigem Butterkäse, sehr jungem Harzer und rohem Schinken und Leberwurst. Sehr enttäuschend! Leider nicht das Richtige für uns.

Vandaag,na een bezoek aan Sanssoucis, in de tuin van café restaurant genoten van héérlijke bramen-yoghurttaart met cappuccino. Lekker Duits zwartbier uit het vat. De bediening was erg vriendelijk en vlot. Het meisje deed zelfs haar best om nederlands te spreken.

We tried to have lunch st the Thai restaurant opposite but the staff were less than helpful when we indicated that we needed a highchair for our granddaughter. The Wiener staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the old fashioned decor. Food was good. I ordered the beef from a Brandenburg bull, and was not disappointed. I would certainly return here.
