Eben's Hearth - Potsdam

We went in today for lunch, myself, husband and two children. We stood at the front door by the sign that says, Please wait to be seated we stood for approximately two minutes when other dining guests who were sitting said we could just seat ourselves as some restaurants just operate like that. We went to a booth and waited. We saw another group of about 8 just being served drinks so we were being patient. At this point we 've now been sitting in the booth for approximately 8 minutes and still no one has acknowledged us and we made sure to look over. The waitress even brought food out to two tables on either side of us and still no acknowledgement. Even if they made the attempt to drop off a menu so we could start looking that would have been good but they didn 't. Again, we were more than willing to be patient but after 14 minutes total of being in the restaurant with not even a glance over or a we see you but we 'll be right over would have gave us hope. We then stood up to leave as we can only keep our young children clam for so long without getting antsy. I work in a restaurant, a simple motion or gesture goes a long way..

Amazing charbroiled burgers anyway you like your patty! Wings were great too.

Relaxed friendly family restaurant with bar and tvs. Good food and generous portions.

The staff are fantastic and the food is so good! We try to eat there at least once a week. Definitely worth trying if you haven't yet.

Drove 3 hrs to surprise our son for his birthday. Server helped us set it up with the trivia guy and it was a huge success! Food was great (try the chicken filled platter! , prices good. We'll worth the trip! PS. Trivia was a lot of fun!
