We were family of 4, came to this restaurant around 21:00, live music were playing, we went to the 3rd floor, there were 2 tables free, woman came to take an order, we ordered 2 beer and hinkali (we didn 't want to eat really, just take something for children woman told, your order is less than 50 lari, you can 't sit here, go downstairs, ok, we followed her, to the second floor to the area with air conditioner and no music, we chose a table (for 4 persons . she told, no, you can 't sit here, if company of 14 people comes we will put together 3 tables and they will sit here, she did show to the same size table between walls, the place was looking like you are sitting in a cave. She brang beer after 5min and we ordered +1 barbeque, after some time other woman came(more friendly one with hinkali, we asked about barbeque, she told that noone told her about it before.. After some time georgian guy came together with little daughter, and sit at this table meant for company of 14 : and noone told anything to him : Hinkali were ok, barbeque from pork, was so so. Price was cheap comparing to other places we have been. Next day we went to the neighbour restaurant 20m from aragvi, were hinkali is drawn on a plakat, there service is super good and food was tasty and prices are similar to Aragvi.
Nothing exceptional or wrong with the food or service. We ordered beer and got 2 beers in 0.4 glasses. We ordered two more beers later and the glasses had shrunk. My partner ordered one more and joked that he should have held onto the old glass he might have got the bigger glass back. We asked for the bill and it had 7 on. After disputing it we were told we had 6?!? Gave up and paid!! Earlier in the evening there had been a dispute and tears from the bar lady. Maybe she was trying to cover a previous shortfall
Loved it (style and interior, colors and food). What i disliked were the loud drunk men, who disrespected the waitress, but the manager handled the Roma situation with honor. We loved food and drinks
Love this place with wonderfull food and drinks. The fish dishes were outstanding, pickeled veggies great and the wine fantastic. The blond hostess can speak quite good english and she can tell you everything with love about Georgian food and drinks. And yes we agree Poti is probably better than Paris, at least compareable.
