La Huerta Mexican - Poteau

I was here with a group. Everyone was happy. Food is not the spicy Tex Mex variety, but the more subtle (sometimes Bland could) genuine Mexican. We had an assortment of entrées, including the Mexican chili with beans (like a layer-dip) appetizer, taquitos, enchiladas, a taco salad and some other things. Everything was good. They're not stubborn, but their stuff tastes good.

Mexican average. I had my first visit here last night. The decor is quite typical. The service was friendly and prompt. The chips and salsa were excellent. I ordered Carnitas for my entry and they were pretty good-very delicate and tasteful. Beans and rice were not descriptive. It's okay, but nothing to get really excited. Prices are reasonable.

Good food. My favorite dish is the Fajita Nachos, and they deliver every time. I have heard of friends and family having spotty experiences eating here, but I have not had any bad experiences yet. If you like quiet, this is not the place to go, however.

Service is friendly and fast. Little loud inside. Food is awesome. Chicken burrito and enchiladas are great. Salsa needs that third level of flavor, but it really grew on me. Chips are perfect, and don't forget to ask for flour tortillas. Yum. The menu is large with good prices; a definite recommend to anyone.
