Die Akker Koffiehuis - Potchefstroom

It was more than 30 minutes after ordering before we saw our meals. No explanation. The food was filling, but not really much else to say about it.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at this restaurant. We found ourselves outside the city and in need of a place to relax, and that's when we remembered Die Akker from my days of hanging around during my first year of studies. While I didn't pay much attention back then, I always remembered the good vibes and good food. Returning after a few years, I'm thrilled to say that this place is still as special as ever. The cozy atmosphere was perfect for escaping the cold winter air, and they had a fantastic special on a basket of meat and chicken. The food was impeccably prepared, and we didn't have to wait long to be served. I haven't seen haloumi cut this thick in a long time, and it was absolutely amazing. I want to extend my gratitude to the staff for their incredible patience as we stayed until closing time, catching up with old friends. I highly recommend this lovely little place to anyone passing through Potchefstroom. You won't be disappointed!

By far one of the worst rump steaks I had, I ordered medium and got welldone! Then it was also a very tough one, like leather, could almost not cut it....A good setup, but they need quality meat somebody to prepare it!

Die Akker never disappoints. Cosy restaurant with a coffee shop feel. Popular among many students, business people and families. With lots of veriety on their menu and daily specials it could possibly be the best restaurant in Potchefstroom.
