Big Bear Deli - Post Falls

I visit this restaurant once a week for the Hog Wild BBQ sandwich, and I absolutely love it here and the staff!

Consistently quick service and delicious sandwiches at a great price. My wife has food allergies, and Big Bear always handles her special requests perfectly.

I recently visited this deli for the first time, and I can confidently say that I will never be settling for overpriced Subway sandwiches again. I tried the pastrami cheddar jack on marble rye, while my nephew opted for the same but on a sourdough baguette. I ended up taking half of my sandwich home, and that half must weigh over a pound! I ordered it with a light spread of mayo and honey mustard, along with some light lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and pepperoncini peppers. The pastrami was cut at a generous 1/8 inch thick, and the flavor was absolutely fantastic! I left feeling very satisfied and will definitely be returning. Honestly, I've been a loyal Subway customer for 45 years, but this deli has definitely won me over. If you're looking for truly delicious, incredibly fresh, and generously packed sandwiches, this is the place to go. They also offer soups and a variety of other tasty items. I’m thoroughly impressed. We went to Big Bear Deli in June and it's a new favorite spot! Everything is made to perfection and it's so nice to have lunch outside their restaurant. We will stop by again in July!

I should have rated this awhile ago. And if I did it would be a 5 star. I am able to get here 2-4 times a year since I live in Spokane and it is a drive. Used to be amazing and delicious. Owners were super friendly. I always come for the Shrimp Po Boispecial on Friday. This last trip was unfortunate. Service was meh, I ordered one sandwich to go and one to eat there. Got themboth in a to go bag. Had to ask for my pickle with my sandwich I was eating in with. Also the new owners have removed the breadpudding from the special. Ultimately makes the special that much less so. Overall this trip was not up to par for the many yearsI have been coming here, with the mess ups and no bread pudding putting a damper on the whole experience. If I choose to comeagain I hope it will be better.
