Centrale Della Ca - Poschiavo

On a cold wet day we paid a brief visit to the pretty little town of Poschiavo. It would cater better for tourists if almost everywhere did not close for a very long lunch break! However, we were made very welcome at the Centrale. The restaurant is clean, traditional and like an old-fashioned tavern, with a lovely log burning stove. We both had the main lunch dish of the day, their version of spaghetti bolognaise. Served with complimentary fresh bread, it was very nicely presented and well cooked. Better still, it was for us to choose whether we had Parmesan cheese on it. Good quality coffee served afterwards, all for a very reasonable price. Service was friendly and quick enough, without being hurried. Everyone there, including all the regulars, gave us a friendly farewell. Simply charming, we recommend it highly.

Good restaurant, local food, well cocked. Small and with hospital crew. I do recommend a visit, placed by the Main street.
