The Beach Club - Portsmouth

The restaurant has an incredibly beautiful environment and offers a stunning view. It is definitely worth visiting just for the view alone. However, we were not impressed with the food and found the staff to be a bit unwelcoming, which made us hesitate to eat. The worst part was finding a hair in my food, which completely turned me off. I didn't make a scene but simply stopped eating and left. My partner thought the food was okay, but overall, I was disappointed with the experience.

The place and view were beautiful! The food was not good, unfortunately. An hour later, we received a starter that was uncooked and had raw meat. We sent it back, but the rest of the food came out lukewarm. The chicken wings were undercooked. The main dishes arrived at the same time as the appetizers, and they were not hot either. The portions were not satisfying and lacked flavor. The pizza was cold, and when we complained, the manager offered the meal for free. The service from the waiter and manager was good, but the kitchen staff may need improvement. I would return for drinks, but not for a meal. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is beautiful, the food is great. The weather was wonderful so we sat outside and enjoyed the view. We will definitely be returning.

Our food order wasn’t taken for 45 minutes. Food was OK but I wouldn’t say value for money. The drinks and the setting were lovely though so I would come here for drinks again maybe not for dinner.
