I have a fondness for diners, so I was excited to try this one based on a recommendation. The atmosphere is charming and has a slight nautical theme. However, I found the food to be underwhelming. The egg breakfast I ordered included bread slathered with unmelted butter, which is a pet peeve of mine. The eggs and sausage were good, but the pancakes were a letdown. They had an odd chemical taste reminiscent of those cheap hotel continental breakfasts. There are definitely better options on the island. It’s unfortunate because places like this, run by locals who genuinely care, deserve better. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the staff were all wonderful.

This was my second time visiting this restaurant for breakfast. During my first visit, we were seated right away and received our drinks promptly, but the waitress forgot to take our order. It took 45 minutes after our drinks arrived for our food order to be taken. Once we placed our order, we waited an additional 45 minutes for our food, which turned out to be excellent. However, we decided to give it another try this time, and it was a big mistake. It took an hour to get our drinks, and then another 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and everything was overcooked.

Air conditinong in this place did not work. It's 100 degrees outside. I'm asking for a soda refill to stay cool, but never get. 30 minutes lunch would have been tolerable, but service lasted an hour. Fried chicken sandwich was good, but I couldn't eat it because of heat and no drink.
