Koma Sushi - Portola Valley

The eel roll I had was the best I've ever tasted! They also offer vegetarian options, including vegetable tempura.

The restaurant was good, but I wouldn't call it exceptional. I found it to be a bit overpriced, although the service was very good. I expected higher quality ingredients given my standards for a Portola Valley establishment.

As for the service, I also rate it as a 2 out of 5. They forgot one of our rolls, and when I called to bring this to their attention, the server argued with me instead of simply apologizing. That’s not a good look for their customer service. I'm really disappointed because I had hoped for a better experience. Unfortunately, this was our third and final visit.

Avoid anything with crab meat, as it’s dry and flavorless.

Wandered in after getting disgusted by the parking situation at another nearby restaurant. Very pleasantly surprised by the attentive service, taste and quality of the food, and the availability of gluten free options. Crab cakes were really good.
