Tappas Caffe Porto

Horrible rude stuff!! It really ruined our night!! Don’t recommend. We ended up going to another restaurant.

A few weeks ago, my friends and I were looking for a place to have dinner after a port wine tour in the area. We were looking for something that is traditional and not a blatant tourist trap looking out across the river. We found this unassuming restaurant on one of the side streets and it was ideal! The place has a cozy feel, the staff is friendly even if we knew little Portuguese, and the food was as typical as it comes. Even their cups and the sangria jar were made of pottery, which is a lovely touch. The food is heavy, and most of the items are covered in ham and cheese... but that is the nature of Porto's traditional food, so be warned that the walk home will be slow!! But they also have their own digestive liqueur (Xiripiti) which I fully recommend because it was absolutely delicious and did its job! Best of all, as with the more local restaurants in Porto, the prices are incredible and you can have a very full and satisfying meal without worrying about the bill.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. We had a Francesinha, Prego no Prato and Vegetarian Lasagne and it was all very tasty.

We had lunch there and had Francesinhas! It was the best! The service was very good! Nice decorations and ambiance in the restaurant.

Wow, what great pizza close to a great kids park. The cook had our daughters making their own tiny pizza to entertain them. What a family oriented place. Great spot to order great pizza. Their pepperoni is spot on and the environment is very inviting. I wish these people many years of great business.
